Cars

And what better way to spend the holiday than to see a movie? Granted, it wasn't as funny as I expected, but I had high expectations anyway (although, who wouldn't when it's made by Pixar). Still, even if the story's already pretty common, I think this movie is only bad if you compare it to previous Pixar films, but if you compare it to the ones from other studios (i.e. Dreamworks), it's pretty darn good.

Creative as always, it was so cool how they made cars, like the natural inhabitant of the planet, instead of the usual; they're only animated when there aren't any people around kind of story. And making car-versions of celebrities like Jay Leno, and other ordinary things, like beetles, well, it's all hilarious.

I didn't like the love story very much, but it's good that it didn't mess up the whole movie too bad. And I like the conflict with the old-timer racer and the rookie, and all of that. Animation was good, I liked the songs they used as soundtrack as well, and other than it being nothing very new or surprising, there's nothing else to complain about. Recommend you to watch if there doesn't seem to be anything better. But don't expect to be impressed.

Oh, look at that. I got to write a review for this one after all. :P
