For a semi-typical somewhat-predictable romantic comedy, this was surprisingly good. But I guess you can't go wrong with a Reese Witherspoon-Mark Ruffalo combination as they're both great actors and the plot didn't suck too bad.
I don't really think Mark Ruffalo is cute, but he certainly has that sensitive-best-boyfriend-in-the-world look, and though Reese is too pretty to be a convincing workaholic doctor, she's a good enough actress to pull it off. Crazy guy from the bookstore was pretty cool, and there weren't many unnecessary characters or scenes. Everything was pretty seamless, and the only thing lacking was... something new. Because really, although it was nice and all, there weren't any surprising scenes, and again, nothing new to say about love.
I don't know what it is, but lately, the movies have no interesting discoveries and just have, really nice scenes, like the time Mark's character was describing his wife... Brought tears to my eyes. T_T
I hate making short reviews, but I can't find anything very striking to comment about on this film. Just, watch it, if you have time, because it doesn't suck, and it'll make you laugh at some parts.
>> I would also just like to mention that I had to treat 2 of my friends just so I could watch this movie, because my sister is a cheater and watches movies on the weekday. Wala na tuloy akong kasama manood ng sine. Yeah, yeah, pathetic... I actually have to pay people to watch movies with me now. Bwiset.

i didnt watch the movie. but my classmate did then kinuwento niya sakin.. tuwang tuwa kami sa tension pneumothorax. hehe. basta. medical stuff. ^_^
actually, if u go to medschool at ust are a lot of pretty doctoras there. trust me, they're like my idols. hardworking, intelligent mentors that can dance, sing, and walk the catwalk. who knows? someday i might be thought as "too pretty to be a hardworking doctor" too. hehehe. muwah! | |
